Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff members.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws.
- Assist in the external audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement internal controls to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA required).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
