Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Lead accounts payable/receivable functions with 3+ years of hands-on experience
- Conduct complex reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and bank statements
- Prepare and analyze variance reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Proven experience with financial reporting and multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent written/verbal communication for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with internal controls and audit preparation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
