Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance analysis for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead audit preparation processes and liaison with external auditors
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and multi-state tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 100, NetSuite)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
