Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead cross-departmental financial planning and budgeting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff through best practices and continuous training
- Optimize accounting workflows using ERP systems like Oracle or SAP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in GAAP, tax codes, and regulatory compliance
- Expertise in ERP systems and advanced Excel modeling (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing costs
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
