Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 15-20 midsize clients
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements)
- Oversee month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Lead audit coordination and tax preparation initiatives
- Mentor junior staff through training programs
- Implement process improvements using accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years public accounting experience
- CPA certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
