Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple business units
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial strategy and operational efficiency
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risk
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience managing accounting teams and processes
- Proven track record of implementing financial controls and improvements
