Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare detailed financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for executive review
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and state/federal tax regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants and support system implementations (QuickBooks, SAP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ years progressive experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and MS Excel
- Proven expertise in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) a plus
