As our Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. You will lead the month-end close process, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and balanced.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing requested documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial reporting procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
