Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance commentary
- Oversee general ledger operations and month-end closing processes
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely reconciliations
- Coordinate internal/external audits and implement audit recommendations
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record in process optimization initiatives
