Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger operations and account reconciliations
- Prepare statutory accounts and tax compliance documentation
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors
- Develop and implement financial controls and processes
- Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure team development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced proficiency in SAP/Oracle and Excel (VBA skills advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance
