Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and tax preparations
- Develop financial forecasts and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, and audits
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication abilities for presenting financial data
- Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization
