In this role, you will collaborate closely with artists, designers, and product managers to translate creative concepts into high-performance, scalable 2D game engines. You will be responsible for optimizing rendering pipelines, implementing complex physics, and ensuring our games run smoothly across multiple platforms, from mobile devices to web browsers.

Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high-performance 2D rendering pipelines for Unity or Cocos2d-x engines.
- Implement and optimize sprite sheets, animations, and visual effects to ensure 60fps performance.
- Develop responsive user interfaces (UI) and non-player characters (NPCs) using 2D assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define game mechanics, level design, and user experience.
- Debug and resolve complex rendering issues and optimize memory usage.
- Stay current with industry trends in 2D graphics, shaders, and physics engines.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D game development, specifically with Unity 2D or Cocos2d-x.
- Strong proficiency in C# or C++ and experience with shader languages (HLSL/GLSL).
- Deep understanding of 2D physics engines (Box2D, Chipmunk2D) and rigid body dynamics.
- Experience with asset optimization techniques, including texture atlases and sprite compression.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex graphics issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
