In this role, you will be responsible for crafting the visual soul of our game worlds. We need an artist who can translate complex narrative beats into stunning 2D environments, utilizing cutting-edge digital tools to deliver pixel-perfect aesthetics. Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute high-quality 2D environment art assets for game levels.
- Collaborate with Art Directors and Level Designers to ensure visual consistency across the project.
- Optimize 2D assets for various platforms, ensuring high performance without sacrificing visual fidelity.
- Conduct visual research and maintain a deep understanding of current 2D art trends and styles.
- Mentor junior artists, providing technical guidance and artistic feedback.
- Create detailed sprite sheets and UI elements as required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a 2D Environment Artist or Game Artist.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience with 2D game engines (Unity or Unreal Engine) is highly preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of 2D environment styles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
