Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations
- Conduct thorough tax research and compliance reviews
- Develop tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex cases
- Utilize ProSystem fx and Thomson Reuters tax software
- Maintain meticulous documentation in client portals
- Represent clients during IRS/state tax authority communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience
- Expertise in individual and corporate taxation
- Proficient in tax software (ProSystem fx, UltraTax)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active North Carolina CPA license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
