Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Lead tax preparation processes and support external audit engagements
- Develop financial models and variance analysis for executive decision-making
- Implement process improvements using automation tools like QuickBooks Online and SAP
- Mentor junior accountants and cross-functional teams on financial best practices
- Ensure SOX compliance and maintain robust internal controls documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with Power Query and financial modeling
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven track record with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder presentations and reporting
