Responsibilities
- Manage complex month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Lead financial reporting initiatives for multi-state operations ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations and internal control assessments
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting accuracy
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize accounting workflows using automation tools
- Ensure SOX compliance documentation and internal control framework maintenance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with multi-state operations
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proven track record of process optimization and automation implementation
- Authorized to work in the US with residency in NY or TX
