Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Process payroll accurately and oversee 401(k) and benefits administration.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget forecasting and cash flow management.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to maintain precise financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software platforms.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
