Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax requirements for AZ and IL
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making
- Implement and optimize accounting processes using QuickBooks and other financial software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and state tax regulations (AZ/IL experience a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks independently
