Job Description
Join Nexus Future Labs at the forefront of 2026's technological revolution. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Infrastructure Lead to architect next-gen systems that will redefine computing capabilities. This hybrid role (3 days/week in our San Francisco innovation lab) demands a pioneer who can translate quantum theory into scalable infrastructure while mentoring a multidisciplinary team of physicists and engineers.
Our lab operates at the intersection of quantum mechanics, AI, and distributed systems, with projects ranging from quantum-resistant cryptography to real-time molecular modeling. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors to build hardware-software interfaces capable of solving previously impossible computational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design quantum-classical hybrid architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Lead R&D on cryogenic control systems and quantum error correction protocols
- Develop security frameworks for post-quantum cryptographic transitions
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Establish compliance protocols for quantum computing governance frameworks
- Drive patent development for novel quantum optimization algorithms
- Interface with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in high-performance computing infrastructure leadership
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic engineering
- Certification in quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Experience with NIS2 compliance and quantum security protocols
- Proven track record of scaling R&D teams from prototype to production
