Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead research in quantum machine learning and neural network applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate algorithms into quantum circuits
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE QCE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization experience
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions)
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration in R&D environments
