Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science with 2+ annual publications
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD interns and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Partner with industry leaders (IBM, Google, Microsoft) on quantum-cloud integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum error correction protocols
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
