Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum architectures and error mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design quantum-compatible software stacks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at QIP conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum initiatives
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF/DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published work in quantum error correction or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
