Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols in isolated quantum systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations at sub-Kelvin temperatures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate-level quantum computing projects
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published peer-reviewed papers on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement protocols and Bell state measurements
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with low-level hardware interaction experience
- Track record of securing competitive quantum computing research grants
