Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum theory into practical applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science)
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in our quantum computing fellowship program
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quipper)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects (or ability to obtain)
