Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Collaborate with hardware team to develop error-corrected qubit architectures
- Lead cross-functional projects to commercialize quantum applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Secure $10M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
