Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and logistics
- Lead cross-functional research teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational physics
- Develop patentable intellectual property in quantum error correction methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion processors
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
