Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure and manage research partnerships with national labs and academic institutions
- Translate theoretical quantum models into scalable commercial solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in quantum computing algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
- Experience securing federal or corporate research grants exceeding $1M
- Track record of transitioning quantum research from lab to production environments
- Strong background in cryptography, machine learning, or complex systems modeling
