Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubit systems at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and participate in patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Demonstrated ability to publish peer-reviewed research
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
