Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant quantum computers
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques and fault-tolerant protocols
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures on superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish high-impact research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or other quantum hardware platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control languages
