Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum systems with <0.1% error rates
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical cloud platforms
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortiums
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish university partnerships for talent pipeline
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 papers)
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface codes, color codes)
- Experience with quantum annealing and superconducting qubit platforms
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
