Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants (NSF, DOE) and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum research projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE) or journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and topological qubit systems
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU-accelerated quantum simulations
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical quantum applications
- Certification in quantum machine learning (IBM Quantum, Google Quantum AI) preferred
