Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Lead breakthrough research in qubit coherence and error correction methodologies
- Develop scalable quantum architectures compatible with existing cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at global quantum summits
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure multi-million dollar government/grant funding
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Experience with machine learning integration for quantum algorithm enhancement
- Proven ability to secure NSF/DOE grants or corporate R&D funding
- Strong background in cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum computing
