Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced quantum computing experiments using 128+ qubit systems
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise workflows
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at global tech forums
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate fidelity and coherence times
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH/NSF/DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Grover's)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor interfaces and error mitigation
- Strong track record of securing government/private research funding
- Expertise in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for C-suite stakeholders
