Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation across quantum biology and materials science domains
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships to advance quantum computing infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Excellent programming skills in Python, Qiskit, and C++ for quantum simulations
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500K+ preferred)
