Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using advanced error correction techniques
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and coherence times
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at quantum computing conferences
- Contribute to open-source quantum software libraries and tools
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit Aer, Q# simulator)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
