As a key member of our Quantum Innovation Division, you'll work in our state-of-the-art facility with access to D-Wave and IBM quantum systems. Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead research projects in quantum machine learning applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
