Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems and error correction techniques
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Develop patents for novel quantum computing methodologies and applications
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional project teams
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies through industry conferences and workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Demonstrated experience with quantum simulation frameworks and hardware interfaces
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
