Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate software solutions
- Publish research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in quantum computing research
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
