Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for commercial applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and lead patent development
- Mentor a team of PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithm implementation)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong track record of translating research into commercial applications
