Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithms and their practical applications across multiple industries
- Design and execute experiments on quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques for scalable quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate quantum computing into machine learning pipelines
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF, DOE, and private sector grants
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and computational complexity theory
- Track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and quantum error mitigation protocols
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with high-performance computing background
- Excellent presentation skills for communicating quantum concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
