Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to advance qubit stability beyond 2026 industry standards
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping hybrid quantum-classical computing systems
- Secure federal grants and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware architectures
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, Qiskit, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding from NSF or DARPA
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and condensed matter physics
