Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors
- Lead research publications in Nature/Science journals with 5+ citations/year
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for pharmaceutical and materials science
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development (Qiskit/Cirq experience required)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or photonic systems
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
