Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors for specific applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private funding for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
- Experience securing government grants and DARPA-style funding
