Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at global tech conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical concepts with practical implementations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and private entities
- Mentor junior scientists and supervise PhD interns in quantum computing projects
- Develop patents protecting proprietary quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development and error correction
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical high-performance computing
