Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing standards development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and error correction techniques
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (ion traps, superconducting qubits, photonics)
- Strong Python/C++ skills and familiarity with high-performance computing frameworks
