Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Develop scalable quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to advance superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in leading scientific journals and present at global conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and build world-class quantum computing infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, error correction protocols, and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Mastery of quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC environments
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical commercial applications
- Strong background in machine learning, cryptography, or computational physics
