Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on 50+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design error-corrected quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design for NISQ-era hardware
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud clusters)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers
