Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for near-term quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in real-world scenarios
- Secure patents and publish research in IEEE/ACM journals
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD interns
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Present findings at international conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing frameworks (HPC, CUDA)
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of securing research grants or corporate funding
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
