Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit platforms with error correction
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop patent-pending quantum encryption protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
- Track record of securing federal research funding
