Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industry applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure patents in emerging quantum technologies
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards for critical infrastructure
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Present breakthrough findings at premier international conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Proven ability to secure $1M+ in quantum research grants
- Security clearance eligibility for DOE/NIST collaborative projects
